FAQ

FAQ: We are isolating and my children each have their own device. How can they access their work?

Option 1: Your children will be provided with an individual QR codes to access their work. Their code is unique to their learning journal so please do not share this with anyone else. The code does not expire and your child does not have to sign in and out after each use. They can stay logged in and log into other devices using the same details. (A bit like an email account)

Option 2: If your child is still signed in with their school email address and password they can continue using this.

FAQ: We are isolating and we have one device for multiple children. How does that work?

Please watch the video titled: Sharing a device.

Your children will need to login and out of their accounts using their individual QR codes to access their work. Their code is unique to their learning journal so please do not share this with anyone else. The code does not expire.

This is slightly different to what we were doing during Lockdown in April 2020- so please keep these QR codes safe.

FAQ: We are isolating, can my child/children work under the same account as they did during lockdown?

Your children will be provided with a QR Home Learning code to scan in via email.

If your children are sharing a device, they will need to logout of their account so that their sibling can scan their Home Learning code to get in. They won't need a new code every time they scan in so please keep the code sent to you in a safe place. Your child's code is unique to them so please do not share this with anyone else.

If your children are not sharing a device then they can use the Home Learning Code or stay signed in with their email address as they did during Lockdown.

If your child is new to the school, they will be given a Home Learning code to use.

FAQ: Why does my child keep receiving activities they've already completed?

Firstly: Don't redo the activity. The teacher has already received the original one.

Ensure that your child is looking at the Waiting Response section under Activities - not the Class Activities one. The Waiting Response is where the work to be completed is and the Class Activities is just another place for all the activities that have already been sent.

Please make sure you are using the most up to date version of Seesaw.

If you are using a desktop or laptop, clear cache and cookies.

One more option is to restart your device.

If none of the suggested solutions work, you may wish to submit a help ticket directly to Seesaw using the following link.

FAQ: Why does my child's work keep disappearing?

Often the class teacher has received this so don't worry.

Seesaw is experiencing a lot of traffic at the moment so there may be some glitches.

If this keeps happening then check that your app is up to date.

If you are using a desktop or laptop, clear cache and cookies.

Where possible complete the work on paper and upload it onto Seesaw using a photo or video. See the videos: Send a post to my teacher for how to do this.

FAQ: Does my child need a new code every week?

No. School has created your child's account and they can sign into Seesaw on any device or on the Seesaw website using the Home Learning QR code provided. If your child still has their email and password they can sign in using that instead. Please do not share the Home Learning code as your child's code is unique to them and will only give them access to their work.
